My girlfriend Samand I have been dating for a year and two months. We met on one of those online dating sites you see on the television. I really got lucky when I found her, she is completely adorable and she is also really smart. I got the best of both worlds with her, I have a girlfriend that is beautiful but who can also keep her end of a conversation. Most of my friends either date the tart, who is pretty but can't spell her name or they date the nerd who is not very cute at all.

Sam and I like to spend the weekends when we are not working at home watching old movies. She loves to watch the sad ones that make her cry and I get to sit on the couch and hug her all night. I think its adorable how even the simplest jokes make her laugh. When she cries her nose gets all red and she looks like a sad puppy. This is the best time to hug her and tell her how much I love her.

This year we will finish our schooling and I am beginning to wonder what I am going to do without Sam. She is supposed to go back to her home town to teach and I am supposed to move to L.A. to work. So far, we have not talked about getting married. It is way too early for that, but also I dread the thought of saying goodbye to her. She is the first girlfriend I have ever had that makes my life complete, all the other girls were just a diversion but with her I feel like everything is all right.

After a year of practically living with her I don't know what I will do when she is not with me anymore. When I am home on the weekends watching those old movies, I will not have her adorable puppy eyes looking at me for a hug. I won't have the smart girl who likes to talk about politics and the world. I can't stand to think I will replace her with one of those girls who only knows how to apply her make-up. I may just have to begin looking for an engagement ring; I truly don't want to live without her.
