Ah, dating. I've been "dating free", as it were, for a while now. It's not necessarily that I have commitment issues, it's mostly that I consider marriage to be illegitimate. I know a friend who married mostly for tax reasons, and even those seem iffy. It's good money, yes, but it's a slightly immoral reason.

Seeing a beautiful girl in a room and getting butterflies in your stomach is the love-bug. The layman person, such as myself, isn't really sure how and why it happens. I'm curious as to how it does, though. I know there's an explanation. But, as it stands right now, I don't really have the time to investigate it.

All of the senses go into it. Smell, taste, touch, and, of course, the mind. A hug for a bad day at work, and some candles for a romantic evening. aroma does a lot for atmosphere; almost as much as a massage. And, of course, the main course at the end of the day: sex.

There are a few reasons to be dating free, as well as reasons to date. Really, it depends on the person. I've thought about it and I think that, since it is emotion-based, those who are somewhat emotionally needy should date. My opinion, of course. It might even be genetic. Perhaps genetics might even be the reason that some people are habitual daters, while others are emotional stones.

Much of dating revolves around arousal. Since we are 75% water, vaginal and penal arousal depends upon hydration. Hard nipples, a hard penis, and a plump vulva all require blood being pumped into and held in their respective compartments. This system is very flexible -- just as a teenager whose love has just grazed his pants on the dance floor.To take an evolutionary perspective, evolution dictates a fast sexual response, lest survival go to waste. This is a lot of the reason that there are such things as rape.

I'm not really sure if I want to date or not. It sounds rather official to me. I've been dating free all of my life. Granted, I've only started getting laid recently, but it's new waters for me. I'm not sure about taking the dive. It will be interesting, but it's definitely long-term. If anything, it will need a lot of talking. Sex isn't the end-all of relationships if everything else is hell for you.

But really, I don't know. As it stands right now, I'm dating free.
