I am very excited, tonight I am going on my very first date with a guy that I met on an online dating site. I've had quite a bit of Internet contact with him both via email and in the chat room of the dating site. I have seen a lot of pictures of him and I feel pretty confident that he will show up looking the same as in the pics because they are all very recent. He is very cute and he seems to be very sweet so I have a really good feeling about this date and having been looking forward to it for the last week.

My best friend Annie came over to help me get ready to the date, she brought her huge make up kit and some of her favourite outfits. It's like we are playing dress up but this time it's for a real date and she's going to stay here while I go watching reruns of American Idol so that we can dish about what happened as soon as I get home. At first she thought I was nuts to have joined a dating site but today she is probably even more excited than I am about my date and she says that if I have a good time and all goes well that she just might sign up to the same dating site too. I think that would be great for her, she's been out of the dating loop for a really long time and I can see just by how excited she is for me today that she also needs this is her life.

If nothing else I hope it does go well so that Annie can also join the site. It would be a lot of fun for me if she did and if wither of us ever found a perfect match then that would be really great. I know we can sure both use a mate, we have both been single for much too long and it's time for is to be finding that special man. Especially Annie she has such a big heart and so much love to give, she would truly make any man the perfect wife. So I will cross my fingers that my date goes off perfect and that the guy is as sweet as I think he is. I am almost ready andbeginningto get really nervous but I am also so excited.
